Chinese foods that Japanese people loves!(中華料理)

Japanese Ramen has been ahead to the future.

There are many kinds of healthy ramen for vegetarian, health-conscious ramen that it free chemical seasonings and , the  pork bone taste ramen without pork as a halal food also.

Today I would like to introduce Ramen that I couldn’t cover on the previous.

yakibuta

Although Hiyashi-Chuka and tsukemen are recognized as “The cold ramen”, the following ramen is not called “Ramen”.

Tanmen(たんめん)

Fried vegetables and pork with noodle in chicken based soup and simmer.
I have heard only people in Kanto region eat this noodle.

Champon (ちゃんぽん)

champon

Pan-Fry pork, sliced kamaboko and vegetables in lard, and season with chicken carcass and pork bone soup.

The big feature of Champon is the thick noodles and these many kinds of ingredients.

This is a specialty of Nagasaki Prefecture. It’s a healthy ramen with lots of vegetables, so it’s recommended for women on a diet.

Abura soba (油そば)

abura soba

“Abura” means oil. “soba” means noodle. So, this noodle is cooked  with only oil without soup.

Sesame oil in the bottom of a bowl and soy sauce-based sauce are basic seasoning. The vinegar and the Raayu (chili oil ) over noodle and eat after mixing. We usually eat with Menma, Yakibuta, Nori and chopped leeks.

It is so oily that women may not like…

Chinese style (中華そば)

Chinese style

We also love Chinese food😍 There are many restaurants run by Chinese. However, real Chinese food is too spicy not to be hard of favorite by Japanese.

Therefore, we arrange Chinese cuisine in Japanese style. Them as follows are popular Chinese style Ramen in Japan.

Taiwan style maze-soba (台湾まぜそば)

taiwanese

When a TV reporter asked Japanese,
“Which country do you like the best?”
88% of Japanese answered “Taiwan”.

We look like a happy married couple , lovebirds, and soulmates. We have a very good relationship forever…at least we hope so.
Anyway, we love Taiwan and Taiwanese very much.

Not only Tapioca but also this Taiwanese maze soba clean hit in Japan!

Taiwanese recipe by Japanese

Taiwanese-style mixed soba is similar to Abura soba, but many ingredients, raw eggs on it.

This is little bit oily, but refreshing and delicious!

Suratanmen (酸辣湯麺)

suratanmen

Suratan-men is from China. This means sour and spicy soup noodle.

To be honest, I don’t really like sour foods, but only this noodle is different.

This noodle is based on vinegar and spiciness with vegetables and beaten egg.
I usually don’t drink soup a lot, but it’s so delicious that I always drink up all soup!

Suratanmen recipe

This recipe is a harmonious and addictive combination of sour and spicy flavors. In Japan, all you need to do is beat an egg and add it.

Gomoku-ankake-soba (五目あんかけそば)

Cantonese style ramen

“Gomoku (五目)” means chaos. “Ankake (あんかけ)” means over starchy sauce. So this ramen is in many kinds of ingredients over starchy sauce.

I do not why Japanese people often call this Ankake as “Cantonese style”. (But we know this is not real Cantonese style)

Therefore, this ramen is  often called “Cantonese style ramen” also.

Gomoku ankake soba recipe

I think as for this menu is better made by Chinese people than Japanese.
In Japan, it is usually eaten with yakisoba instead of ramen.

Tantanmen (担々麺)

tantanmen

Although I have eaten real “Tantan men” in Chengdu city of Sichuan, but I was surprised that it was completely different from Japanese one!
Actually, taste was the same. But real Tantan men is small, no soup, and no ingredients!

I heard that it was carried on the backs and sold long time ago. So it is written “Noodles on the backs” in Chinese, right?

Shiro tantanmen (白担々麺)

white tantanmien

In Japan, there are white Tantan men made of white sesame, without soup, similar to Chinese taste, and with soup version also.

We love “Tantanmen”

Side dishes

ramenset

We can fill only with ramen. But when we are starving, we eat side dishes as follows.

Gyoza (餃子 / ぎょうざ / ギョーザ)

Gyoza

“Gyoza” means pan-fried dumpling. Of course, this is from China. Japanese loves Gyoza very much! Ramen & Gyoza are a perfect combination ever!
There are deep-fried Gyoza and Boiling one. But, they are not popular so much.

Gyoza recipe

I think this tastes are better by Chinese people than Japanese, but I’ll show you how to make Japanese style gyoza.

Fried rice (チャーハン / 炒飯)

Chaa han

“Chaahan” is fried rice with beaten egg in Chinese language.

Japanese often eat a set of Ramen & fried rice. This combination is popular also.

I do not want to get gain, though…

Rebanira itame (レバニラ炒め)

rebanira itame

“Reba”means liver. “Nira” is garlic chives, and “itame” means fried.

This is the sauteed with stir-fried (beef) liver and garlic chives, sliced onion and bean sprouts.

I do not like this dish…very garlic smell😣, but we can get energy from the dish. So, Guys often eat this dish with beer as snacks.

Kanitama (カニ玉)

kanitama

“Kani” means crab,” Tam”a means egg.  This dish is the crab meat omelet over starchy sauce.

Kanitama fried rice is also popular in Japan. I do not know why this fried rice is called ”Tenshin han” also. “Tenshin” means Tianjin. “Han” means rice.

Dragon ball

tenshinhan

Do you know Tenshin Han as a character name in the “Dragon ball”? He is named from this kanitama rice. Cute boy, Chaozu is also Gyoza dumpling…hahaha

There are instant noodles and cup noodles. It is so easy that you can cook well!
Just put ramen in a pot and simmer for a few minutes. Then when we eat this noodle, put with egg, leeks or so on it as you like.

There are 3 types of instant noodles, dry noodles, raw noodles, and frozen noodles.

instant2

The raw and frozen noodle are not so different from a restaurant’s one
